bronze age baby

I always love trying out new Revitanail shades. The quality is always fabulous and the colours rarely disappoint. Bronze Age was, thankfully, no exception when it comes to my love of Revitanail polishes. I don't have many bronze or coppery shades in my collection and I've been looking to change that of late so Bronze Age was certainly a welcome addition. I'm not sure where to get Revitanail if you're out of Australia but for anyone in the country they're sold at Myer, Priceline and selected other pharmacy's. Do try them out. Especially if they're on sale! x

solid gold gild

This is another polish from my mystery ebay lot. I would never have picked this up on my own but I have to say I am so glad that I have it. Solid Gold is one of Orly's matte finish polishes and I couldn't believe how pretty it was. I've never been a fan of gold polish but this particular gold isn't overly yellow toned which I really like.

edinburgh by b

Edinburgh is my first B Collection by Bloom polish I've tried. It's sold exclusively at Target in Australia and all of the polishes are named after different cities from all over the world. Since my favourite city is Edinburgh I thought I'd try it's name sake out first. Luckily it turned out to be absolutely beautiful. It's a deep emerald green with lovely complex looking shimmer and It wore perfectly after a painless application. Now that I have a taste for these B by Bloom polishes I can see myself developing quite a collection... oh dear. My poor wallet...

royal rose gold

Okay so I know I fail and you can't tell from these pictures but this polish is just so darn pretty! I would describe it as a rusty rose gold and it is officially my go to "classy" polish. Rose Gold is my very first Estee Lauder polish. I've always thought the packaging was gorgeous but I couldn't justify the price but I received this along with one other Lauder polish in a mystery polish lot on ebay and I am just so over the moon. These polishes (Rose Gold at least) are well worth their price tag. The quality is phenomenal. I will certainly be investing in more of these in the future. Love!

cashmere cardigan

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this polish!!!! This is Cashmere Cardigan from Orly's Prepster Collection and it is perfect. It's like a periwinkle lavender/purple and it is simply gorgeous. I want to wear this all the all the time! Pity I have soooo many other polishes... What am I talking about!? There is no such thing as too much polish!!! x

luna pearl pop

Every now and then I'm feeling rather subdued and just want a pale pearlescent glow on my nails, My latest option for that is Luna Pearl by Borghese. One thing I can say about his polish, while this particular shade may not be the height of excitement, the wear time was excellent. I went 3 whole days without chipping and on the fourth day I removed it so who knows how long it may have lasted. 3 days is practically unheard of with me. Polish on my nails tends to chip within the first 24 hours with at least 70% of my collection. So hoorah for Borghese! x

in harmony with china glaze

My collection of China Glaze polishes is continually growing. This particular polish, Harmony, is from the Romantique Collection from Spring 2009 and I love the finish of the colours from this collection. They're frosty/metallic but just oh so glowy and pretty. Harmony is a muted lavender with a touch of mauve and I've never seen anything similar to this. Perfectly lovely. x

doting over demi with raspberry sparkle

Demi by Zoya from their Dare Collection is one of my all time favourite berry cremes. The coverage and application is lovely and the colour itself is just so beautiful and very unique to anything else I own. I know it's usually the Zoya shimmers that get the most attention but I love the creme colours equally as much. Do try out Demi, if you haven't already. x

unknown old lookin' butter london

This polish is like a frosty lookin' white/gold/green and I have no idea what it is...I got it in a mystery nail polish lot off ebay which I posted about here. I've looked through lots of Butter London swatches but I can't find this anywhere so I'm unsure if this was just an unpopular limited edition colour or if it's a fake or a franken or what? Even if this polish is legit, I'm not overly into it. Frost really isn't my thing. Not sure what I'll do with this polish but I don't think it will get to see too much of my finger tips. Not when I've got so many other gorgeous colours I want to wear. x

cannoli cream caper

Cannoli Cream is the first Borghese polish I've tried. Borghese, as far as I'm aware, isn't available in Australia and since I was curious about them I brought a lot of 14 on ebay. Cannoli Cream is a sheer off white/cream colour which I like more then I thought I might. It makes my nails look sleek and clean and makes a nice change from the polishes I'm usually sporting. I think this is the perfect polish for if you're feeling minimalistic. This polish has definitely got me excited to try out my other Borghese polishes.

we'll always have paris power

We'll Always Have Paris is a deep maroon creme with a gorgeous glossy finish. I love it but was disappointed to see just how similar it is to William Tell Me About OPI (obviously also by OPI). The two shades are so similar that I probably don't need both but I can't decide if I can actually bring myself to give up one of them since once again, I'm such a sucker for names and this polish is a quote from Casablanca and the other is a reference to the Swiss folk hero, William Tell soooo... yeah. I'm a loser, I know. Which one would you pick?

first mate fancy

First Mate, believe it or not, is the first navy blue creme to enter my collection. Up until recently I didn't overly like the idea of blue finger nails but bit by bit I've come around to the idea and now I don't know what I did without this fun and pretty option. First Mate was lovely to apply and easy to remove. A real winner by me.

trying out clear topaz

For starters, I apologise for the blurry pictures. I took these when I was sick and they looked fine so I'm thinking my vision was a bit blurred too... haha

Anyway. This was my first Australis polish I've tried and I got it for $2 on clearance so I was pretty pleased with that. The name of the polish is Clear Topaz and I don't really have any other bronze polishes in my collection so it was nice to try out both a new brand and a unique colour to me. The formula was pretty decent for a lower end brand. Quite pigmented. The pictures are 2 coats. The bottle says streak free, which a guess it lives up to but not really sure why they're making it a selling point... but whatever works for them. I'd probably pick up more Australis polishes if the colours were good enough but I wouldn't go out of my way for them.

parlez vous opi

I don't know how this polish isn't part of OPI's permanent collection. It's just so very beautiful. I love looking down at my fingers when I'm wearing this. Parlez Vous OPI is just the most unique (to my collection) dusky purple/slightly taupey polish. It looks so chic and feminine on just about everybody. If you don't have this and can find it for a not ridiculous price then do not hesitate. Get it! You'll love it. x

hauling!

So about a week and a half ago I won/brought a lot of 25 random nail polishes on ebay and today they arrived. YAY! I was so excited when the mail man handed them over I just sat straight down in the middle of the floor and ripped the package open. I was really pleased with the selection I got! Can't wait to try them all out! I'm sure you'll be seeing many of these in upcoming posts. x

devotion dive

I don't really have much to say about this polish. I have several similar colours. Devotion is by no means unique and the formula wasn't really the best for me. It turned out pretty streaky. Much more so then showed up in the pictures. I only wore this for a day because I got bored. I think I'd like this more if I didn't have any other silver polishes...
