coquette vs. it's totally fort worth it

Just a quick comparison post for you today. Jessica's Coquette vs. OPI's It's Totally Fort Worth It. They're both sheer silvery grays with hot pink micro glitter particles.

As you can see they're not exact dupes but they are pretty darn close. I think I prefer the Jessica polish personally as it's a little more opaque with a glossier finish but both are quite nice.

coquette

Coquette by Jessica is a sheer silver/gray polish with flecks of hot pink glitter. If that looks or sounds familiar to you that's because Coquette is a dupe for OPI's It's Totally Fort Worth It. I think they were released around the same time (aka earlier this year). I'll do a comparison post for you shortly.

Intriguingly matte

Intrigue is my first full size Jessica Polish and I like this polish but I'm not in love. It's a pretty pale taupey colour with purple undertones (actually quite similar to China Glaze' Below Deck). The formula was good, it applied quite well but nothing to rave about in my opinion. I didn't love the way this looked on me so I added a matte top coat which I think vastly improved it. What do you think? Better glossy or matte?

all about antique

Yet another Gray. Antique is a dark silvery gray, very similar to Jitterbug from China Glazes Vintage Vixens collection. I love these type of darker glittery polishes, they really stand out for me. I only have a few Jessica polishes but so far I'm impressed (not including Tradition which was a bit of a stainy let down...). The wear time on this polish was pretty good. Five days without chipping, just some minimal tip wear. Worth taking a look at i think. x

a toast to tradition

This is another polish from the colour for the generations Christmas set from Jessica. Tradition is a lovely evergreen creme which I found much more flattering on my skin tone then I was expecting. The only problem I had was with taking it off. This colour stainined my fingers something horrible! The green dye ran as I was taking it off and went half way down each finger. I've never experienced anything like it with any other polish. I honestly don't know what caused it or why it happened. I wish I had of thought to take a picture of my stained fingers to show you but it honestly didn't occur to me at the time. So anyone out there who owns this set but has yet to try this colour, be warned. It's lovely but highly messy.

estate of your own

Blue nails have never really been my favourite look but I have to say I appreciate the sheer dimension of this polish. Estate is from Jessicas Colour for the Generations Christmas set and I wasn't that excited about this colour until I saw it in person. The multicoloured glitter in this baby is freakin' gorgeous! Still not sure I love the way it looks on me but in general I am very impressed by this polish. If you have yet to try out a Jessica polish then what are you waiting for? They're amazing!
