copper penny perfection

Copper Penny is one of Revlon's Metallic polishes released earlier in the year and I was very excited to try this when it was first released but for some reason kept putting it off until now... Oh well. Finally having it on my nails, I was struck with just how much shimmer there is in this polish it's quite eye catching and beautiful. Shall certainly be wearing this again in the coming months. x

Today I have a rather old Revlon polish to show you. Blaze is a bright jellish red polish and it's about 10 years old. Keeping that in mind I was super impressed with how lovely this polish was to work with. The pictures below are 2 coats without top coat and I have to say this lasted incredibly well on me. I took it off after 4 days and there was only minimal tip wear at that point. Vintage Revlon, never disappointing.

Reference The Wizard of Oz in a polish name and I'm happy. Actually reference anything I love in a polish nail and I'm happy. Emerald City by Revlon is part of their matte suede line and I for one love the finish on these little darlings. It looks a little like velvet to me. Extremely pretty. Worth a try I say. x

zoom! back in time...

I've had this Revlon polish for about 10 years now. More then half of it is gone, the label has almost completely scratched off but it is still in perfect condition formula wise. Zoom is a bright medium pink polish with beautiful silver shimmer shot through it. This applied perfectly in two coats and while i'm not usually drawn to pink polish this is one that I've never been able to give up. What have you kept in your collection for longer then you'd imagined?

last friday nights gumdrops

So this gorgeous combination was my not so typical Valentines day manicure and I loved it! I started with Revlon's Gumdrop which is one of their scented polishes from last spring and I don't usually like really pale colours on me but this one surprisingly works. I then put a coat of Last Friday Night from OPIs Katy Perry collection and the result was perfect sparkly nails that seemed to glow from within. The pictures don't capture how gorgeous this combination really was so if you have both these polishes at your disposal then I highly recommend you trying this out!
