che bella red
It's taken me a while but I finally like the way a red nail looks on me. Especially when it's more of a blue toned red like Che Bella Red from Borghese. It makes my skin look whiter, which I enjoy and it's classic and chic. Just lovely.

raspberry sorbetto
I have recently become a fan of brights and I have to say it kinda snuck up on me... I've always been more of a vampy/neutral lover but all of a sudden the look of a bright nail is really attractive to me. keeping that in mind I loved wearing Raspberry Sorbetto by Borghese. It's a hot pink creme but it's not too in your face. I especially loved it peeking out from under a coat of OPI's Silver Shatter. v.cute.

unknown but highly gorgeous borghese
My god, I love this polish! It's a beautiful purple/green duo-chrome. It applied perfectly in two thin coats and wore really well. Unfortunately this particular bottle doesn't have a label so therefore I have no idea what the name of the colour is but it's by Borghese and is like nothing else I own. Just lovely. x

blue steel goes patina pearl
Sometime last week I was wearing Blue Steel by Australian brand Chi Chi which is a very vibrant shimmery royal blue and while it's lovely by itself I was getting a little bored with it so I decided to see what Patina Pearl by Borghese looked like over it. I love the way this combination turned out! Patina Pearl, as it turns out, has these amazing tiny pink glitter particles that really stood out against the blue. Gorgeous!

ready for venetian red
Still on my red hunt and I own about half a dozen from Borghese. Venetian Red is only the second one I've tried and it's pretty, I like it but it's not my perfect red. Venetian Red is a dark but vibrant red with a noticeable shimmer. It's quite adult and classy but it's just not what I'm looking for. What I'm looking for exactly I don't know but I'll know when it's on my nails! Hopefully...

botticelli nude
So glad Blogger's finally working! It was down all day yesterday and I was at quite a loss actually. Is that sad? Also I think about 4 comments got deleted from some of my more recent posts so that's sad hopefully they'll come back when blogger maintenance is over. Anyway.
Still making my way through my Borghese lot of polish. This particular one is Botticelli Nude and it is just a sheer creamy nude colour that makes your nails look nice and clean. I don't have a lot to say about this polish. It didn't wow me but it was nice enough... my favourite nude is still Revitanail's Cashmere Latte.

rubino red razz
I'm slowly, slowly coming around to red nail polish. I've always liked it on other people but never so much on me. I really do; however, love the brightness of Rubino Red by Borghese. I always expect red polishes to make my skin look redder but I found this polish made my already pale skin look even whiter (which I actually don't mind). I think I might have to go on a red polish hunt...What's your favourite red polish?

carnivale grape
I was wearing this mani for a few days before I took pictures so it's looking a little battered. Carnivale Grape is a deep red/purple grape colour that looks black in most lights. Despite it's almost black tendencies I rather liked it for the vampy appeal it held. Still, having said that, there are far better vampy polishes out there. You can see how uneven it applied in the flash photo. I guess it could have used another coat but it really didn't look so bad to the naked eye.

toscano spice gets cracked in blue!
Super in love with this manicure! I would never have thought of this combination normally but I was already wearing Borghese's Toscano Spice when my Barry M Nail effects in blue showed up and since I was too impatient to wait I just slopped it on over Toscano Spice and I could not be happier with it! Toscano Spice is a warm apricot type nude with some subtle shimmer and surprisingly (to me at least) is the perfect base for the dusty but bright blue of the Barry M crackle/shatter/nail effects. Love it! What do you guys think? Yay of nay?

luna pearl pop
Every now and then I'm feeling rather subdued and just want a pale pearlescent glow on my nails, My latest option for that is Luna Pearl by Borghese. One thing I can say about his polish, while this particular shade may not be the height of excitement, the wear time was excellent. I went 3 whole days without chipping and on the fourth day I removed it so who knows how long it may have lasted. 3 days is practically unheard of with me. Polish on my nails tends to chip within the first 24 hours with at least 70% of my collection. So hoorah for Borghese! x

cannoli cream caper
Cannoli Cream is the first Borghese polish I've tried. Borghese, as far as I'm aware, isn't available in Australia and since I was curious about them I brought a lot of 14 on ebay. Cannoli Cream is a sheer off white/cream colour which I like more then I thought I might. It makes my nails look sleek and clean and makes a nice change from the polishes I'm usually sporting. I think this is the perfect polish for if you're feeling minimalistic. This polish has definitely got me excited to try out my other Borghese polishes.
