Tangelo Sherbet by Borghese is a shimmering orange based coral polish and I am super surprised with how much I like it. It's soft but vibrant and is a nice little wake me up in this winter weather. I don't really have much more to say about it. It's lovely but nothing too amazing.

in the indigo
Indigo by Zoya is one of those polishes that doesn't receive quite as much attention as it should. Indigo is a dark navy shimmer with a sparse sprinkling of holographic glitter particles. It's just gorgeous. Inside it could almost pass for a creme. All you can notice is the odd bit of glitter here and there but outside the almost velvety shimmer really comes alive. It's just such a versatile pretty polish. I can't even tell you how long I spent starring at my nails while I was wearing this. All I know is I kept losing time and couldn't figure out why... hahaha

copper coup
Metallic nails aren't always my cup of tea but when I'm in the mood I can really love them. The other day I decided to give Copper from Australis some love. It's pretty okay in one coat (which is what these polishes are marketed as - one coaters), if you're careful but these photos have two coats just to be sure. I really like copper shades but I'm not sure if they like me quite as much...but oh well! Still a pretty polish. x

kingdom of shadows
I am such a fan of Duri polish. Their formulas are awesome and the shades they bring out are usually lovely. The one I'm showing you today is Kingdom of Shadows from their Angels and Demons Collection from last year. The base colour is a gorgeous maroon shade but what really brings this polish to life is the murky/mermaid type green shimmer. I must have looked like a loon when I was wearing this polish with the amount of time I spend starring at my nails but it really is just that pretty. If you haven't given Duri a go then I highly recommend it! x

easy breezi
It's difficult for me to find a blue nail polish that i love not only in the bottle but on my nails but Breezi from Zoya's Summer collection is freakin' gorgeous! It's bright but dusty and just oh so pretty. It looks perfect in two coats and dries to a high gloss shine. Such an easy polish to work with. I just keep falling more and more in love with Zoya.

I choose chicago
Chicago by B Collection by Bloom has quickly become my current favourite glitter polish. What I'm showing you here is one coat. I simply could not believe it. This is certainly one dense glitter. So not only is the coverage amazing the colour is just so interesting. It's a grayed out pinky purple and I am simply in love. The one and only problem I had with this polish is that it dried quite gritty but a couple of layers of top coat and it was good to go. Honestly guys if you live in Australia, pop into Target (pretty sure B Collection is a Target exclusive range...) and pick one up.

reflection perfection
Reflection is possibly my favourite polish from OPI's Designer Series. It's a red holographic that's on the pale side of things. It's super pretty as far as holos go but as you may know they're not exactly my favourite nail polish finish. This is a very fun and different polish though and one that I think would make a happy addition to any nail fanatics collection. x

south sea pearl
Today I have another Sally Hansen Nail Prisms to show you. It's another sheer duochrome so I decided to layer it over a black creme and OHMYGOD, it's pretty! South Sea Pearl is a green and red/purple duochrome. Unfortunately I could only really capture the green accurately. i know this is discontinued but If you have a chance to pick this up then please do not hesitate! It's amazing for its layering possibilities alone.

little bit of a limited addiction
As you can see from the pictures I only have the mini bottle of Essie's Limited Addiction and while I like it I'm not too worried about running out any time soon. This red is gorgeous and sultry and oh so "grown up". Now, don't get me wrong. I love me a good grown up polish but it's not something I crave on a daily basis. Lovely to have none the less. x

it's totally fort worth it!
I thought I was really going to love It's Totally Fort Worth It from OPI's Texas collection. It's a soft shiny gray with tiny hot pink micro glitter but it fell a little short for me. For starters the glitter is almost impossible to see unless you're staring at it up close in perfect lighting and for some reason I find the finish rather unflattering. It's almost pearly and I guess that just doesn't work for me. That being said I have this on my toes right now and I'm kinda liking it...so there may be hope for this one yet.

mostly a mystery
Mystery from OPI's Designer Series is a deep dark plumy eggplant colour with golden bronze flecks. It's truly beautiful in person. It's vampy and interesting and oh so chic but I had the hardest time capturing it. I don't know if it was the lighting or if this polish is just particularly shy but I do know these photos don't do this gorgeous concoction justice. I reccomend trying this one out if you are a fan of vampy shades and you know, also if you haven't already...

gotta be gem
I feel like I've been posting a lot of holos lately. Which is odd since I'm not even the biggest holo fan but I guess I brought a bunch around the same time to see what all the fuss was about. So anyhow.
This is Gem from Nubar and it's not your average holo. For starters most holographic polishes are smooth to the touch once applied. This was gritty but easily remedied with a good topcoat.. The holographic particles were larger then you regularly see but I thought it was still pretty. A nice nude scattered holo effect. Nice and subtle/easy to wear. Nubar V.rarely lets me down though. One of my fav brands for sure.

party hearty you glamazon
After I'd been wearing Glamazon for a while I decided to add some sparkle to my ring finger and I thought this vibrant purple would be the perfect colour to pair with china Glaze's Party Hearty since green and red both go well with purple plus it might not seem so Christmasy...was I right? Did it work?

going glamazon
If you haven't heard of Mode before it's because it's an el'cheapo brand here in Australia. It's maybe around the $3 mark which in a country where OPI is $20 that's super cheap!
The formulations on Mode polish can be a little hit and miss but they do come out with some okay colours like this lovely bright purple, Glamazon. Since it's super bright it dried to something akin to a satin finish but a topcoat fixed that up no problem. I can't remember if this was 2 or 3 coats but I think it was 2...

robo romance
I was really excited to try out Orly's Robo Romance on my nails. In the bottle it looks like a gorgeous creamy pink with pretty iridescent sparkles but on the nail the glitter tends to get a little lost. Especially since the colour is so sheer. shown below is 3 coats and while it was pretty it wasn't quite as special as i was hoping for. Oh well. They can't all exceed expectations I guess...

the renaissance
I love Duri. Have I told you guys that before? Yeah... I don't know. I don't have that many Duri polishes since I have a hard time finding places that will ship them to Australia. Stupid country!
The Duri polish I have to show you today is from the Back to Classics collection and it's super pretty! It's called The Renaissance and it's my perfect medium purple. The pictures make this look like a creme but there is some hidden shimmer stuck in there. To be honest you can't even actually see the shimmer in person...at least not on your nail. It is there in the bottle, however. Oh well. I still really love this polish. Mainly because it's lovely. x
