walk of fame
Walk of Fame by Essence is a glossy brown taupe and I have to say it's a little difficult not to love. Great formula with an even greater price. Have I mentioned how glad I am Essence is now sold in Australia? because it's very. Very glad. I really need to go pick up more of these.

magically mira
Is there anything prettier then a true purple creme? Yeah, I didn't think so! I've said it before but Zoya do some damn fine creme polishes. I find they get much more credit for their dazzling production of glitter/shimmer type formulas (which deserve the credit because they are AMAZING!) but their cremes are just lovely. The cover well, they have a high gloss finish and they last quite a time on my lil' nails. Mira came out in the summer/sunshine collection...I can never recall off hand which side of the collection is which... It's nothing too unique but my gosh is it pretty. x

butterfly award! xx
I have been very kindly awarded the Butterfly Award by KarenD of Frazzle and Aniploish (V.possibly the best blog name ever!) Her blog is one of my all time favourites and her taste is pretty much flawless so thank you Karen! You're such a sweetheart!

The Rules:
1. Link back to the person who awarded this award to you.
2. Answer the following questions.
3. Award to other blogs and let them know.
Questions:
What's your favorite color?
Grey (since I'm a sap and it's the colour of the silver-screen...)
What's your favorite song?
Music When The Lights Go Out - The Libertines
What's your favorite dessert?
Eton Mess!
What is pissing you off?
Lack of funds to buy all the pretty polishes I want.
When you’re upset, what do you do?
take turns crying and sleeping
Who's your favorite pet?
Mine and my partners bunny, Agatha. She sadly passed away 2 months ago but she was the sweetest most affectionate little thing and I don't think they'll ever be a day when I won't miss her.
Black or white?
black but I'd prefer a mixture of the two...
What's your biggest fear?
losing a loved one.
What's your best feature?
eyes?
What's your everyday attitude?
that the next day will be better? hahah kidding.
What is perfection?
A warm bed and a good book.
What's your guilty pleasure?
America's Next top Model. I should be guilty anyhow but I'm not really... it's too fun!
I would like to give the Butterfly Award to these other lovely blogs that I wholly enjoy reading -
Rachel Marie's Nails - Rachel has some of the loveliest layering combinations I've seen and I openly admit to coveting her amazing nail shape!
Nail Juice - Love this New Zealand based blog! Great swatches that are currently making me add to my horrifyingly long want list...
DizzyNails - Adore her generously sized swatch pictures and am more then a little jealous of her application technique. Always flawless!
Polishology - I was drawn in by the header with the cute kitty but kept coming back for the gorgeous swatches. love.
Swatch and Learn - I don't think anyone includes quite as much useful information as the girls from Swatch and Learn. Such a high quality blog!
Viva Polish! - always enjoy seeing a Viva Polish! post pop up in my reading list. Maybe it's because the name is so positive I mean come on, Viva Polish! It just sounds fun doesn't it!?

in the indigo
Indigo by Zoya is one of those polishes that doesn't receive quite as much attention as it should. Indigo is a dark navy shimmer with a sparse sprinkling of holographic glitter particles. It's just gorgeous. Inside it could almost pass for a creme. All you can notice is the odd bit of glitter here and there but outside the almost velvety shimmer really comes alive. It's just such a versatile pretty polish. I can't even tell you how long I spent starring at my nails while I was wearing this. All I know is I kept losing time and couldn't figure out why... hahaha

copper coup
Metallic nails aren't always my cup of tea but when I'm in the mood I can really love them. The other day I decided to give Copper from Australis some love. It's pretty okay in one coat (which is what these polishes are marketed as - one coaters), if you're careful but these photos have two coats just to be sure. I really like copper shades but I'm not sure if they like me quite as much...but oh well! Still a pretty polish. x

kingdom of shadows
I am such a fan of Duri polish. Their formulas are awesome and the shades they bring out are usually lovely. The one I'm showing you today is Kingdom of Shadows from their Angels and Demons Collection from last year. The base colour is a gorgeous maroon shade but what really brings this polish to life is the murky/mermaid type green shimmer. I must have looked like a loon when I was wearing this polish with the amount of time I spend starring at my nails but it really is just that pretty. If you haven't given Duri a go then I highly recommend it! x

easy breezi
It's difficult for me to find a blue nail polish that i love not only in the bottle but on my nails but Breezi from Zoya's Summer collection is freakin' gorgeous! It's bright but dusty and just oh so pretty. It looks perfect in two coats and dries to a high gloss shine. Such an easy polish to work with. I just keep falling more and more in love with Zoya.

I choose chicago
Chicago by B Collection by Bloom has quickly become my current favourite glitter polish. What I'm showing you here is one coat. I simply could not believe it. This is certainly one dense glitter. So not only is the coverage amazing the colour is just so interesting. It's a grayed out pinky purple and I am simply in love. The one and only problem I had with this polish is that it dried quite gritty but a couple of layers of top coat and it was good to go. Honestly guys if you live in Australia, pop into Target (pretty sure B Collection is a Target exclusive range...) and pick one up.

reflection perfection
Reflection is possibly my favourite polish from OPI's Designer Series. It's a red holographic that's on the pale side of things. It's super pretty as far as holos go but as you may know they're not exactly my favourite nail polish finish. This is a very fun and different polish though and one that I think would make a happy addition to any nail fanatics collection. x
